Founded in 1875, Hebrew Union College (HUC) is the Reform Movement's seminary. Aspiring rabbis, cantors, and educators spend one full year in Jerusalem and then complete their studies at one of 3 campuses in the U.S. (Cincinnati, New York, and Los Angeles). Mark's curriculum this year focuses on Hebrew language and life in Israel, with courses in Bible, history, philosophy, literature, Biblical grammar, and practical rabbinics. Additionally, all students take part in various community service projects around Jerusalem. In subsequent years, studies will expand further into Jewish law, ritual, modern thought, counseling, and preparation for an active role in the Jewish community. Find out more: HUC
